Labor Day

We had a nice quiet weekend with just the kids, and then on Labor Day we went over to my in-laws, and enjoyed some family time with them. First the kids played, then everyone went swimming. The kids had so much!

While everyone was enjoying the pool, I sat in the shade drinking my first pumpkin spice latte of the year. It really hit the spot since I had a cold. Thank you so much Janice and Wayne for inviting us over to go swimming, and for lunch! Also thank you for the latte!!! You guys are the best :)

After lunch with Janice and Wayne we then went over to my Dad and Shari's. Today was the day that my Dad and I had talked about having Ares practice riding his bike without training wheels. I honestly thought it wouldn't be that difficult, but unfortunately it was. He had learned the hard way not to let go of the handle bars, and after that little accident he freaked out about the whole process. I knew we wouldn't teach him in a day, but I was hoping for a little more progress. He is young though, and he will get the hang of it. He just will have to practice! As a treat for trying he got a brownie (that was Gluten Free since he is now on a GF diet), and that made hurting his arm a little more bearable. Here are a couple pictures of him at trying to ride his bike.

We had a wonderful Labor Day! Thank you to everyone who helped make it great, including my awesome Mom who was kind enough to drive me to my in-laws since our van was in the shop, and then letting us borrow her van later on to go to my Dad's.
